Each setting creates a different "look" and has its own distinct advantages.

  • Ring Sizing
Tobin Jewelers realizes that you may not know the ring size for a given finger, and we want to help.

Here are some tips to make your ring size measurement more accurate:
    - Confirm the printed paper size with a ruler.
    - Pull tightly. The sizer must fit snugly to produce an accurate size.
    - Don't measure cold fingers. This is when fingers are their smallest.
    - For the most accurate reading, measure your finger at the end of the day when it is largest.
    - Ask you partner's mother or one of her friends if they know her finger size.
    - Borrow one of your partner's rings (from the correct finger) and use the Ring Sizer PDF to determine its size.

In order to print the ring sizer above, be sure that your printer is set to 100%. Make sure that you have not reduced the print size in your printer 'page setup' area. You can verify that the sizer printed correctly by measuring it with a ruler; it should measure from A to B: 3 1/2 inches long.
Once you have printed the sizer, follow these directions to find your ring size:

    1. Cut out the ring sizer
    2. Cut a slit for Slot "A"
    3. With the numbers facing out, wrap the sizer around the finger where the ring will be worn.
    4. Pull the pointed end Tab "B" through Slot "A" until the sizer is snug, making sure to allow size for the knuckle.
    5. The number aligned with Slot "B" is your ring size.
    6. If the measure lands between two numbers your size is a half size Ex: Between 5 and 6 ring size: 5.5. If half sizes are not available, order the next largest size.

  • Watch Repairs
Watchmaking and repairing is a dying art.  Many retail jewelry stores have to outsource their watch repairs because there are no watchmakers left.  Outsourcing means longer turn around time for your repairs. When we service a watch, all parts are individually cleaned and oiled.  This is done so the customer receives a timepiece which is operating at its optimum performance.  Many of our watch repairs take only a few days and we will give you an estimate of your watch repair before we begin work, often while you wait, at no charge.

  • Appraisals
A jewelry appraisal is a very important document for your valuable pieces of jewelry. It often times is your only protection when your items are lost, stolen, or damaged. An appraisal ensures that your items are thoroughly evaluated, described and valued so that in case of a loss you will receive proper compensation. Owner, Craig Tobin, is a Graduate Gemologist.

  • Pearl Restringing
Pearls are a rare and beautiful gift of nature. As you wear and enjoy your pearls, be sure to give them the care they deserve. We suggest applying your lotions, perfumes and hair spray before putting on your pearl jewelry. This will help to keep them clean and looking beautiful. Hauser's offers pearl and bead stringing on the premises. It is suggested that your pearl jewelry be re-strung about once a year.  A sales associate will be able to assist you in purchasing the perfect pearls and keeping them beautiful for many years to come.
